Find Grant County Traffic Court

Start with the court named on the citation, because Grant County traffic court matters are split between county and city benches. A Grant County traffic ticket lookup can begin with the paper ticket itself, the statewide case index, or a quick call to the clerk of the court listed. The court file shows the citation, the hearing setting, the plea, docket events, and any public payment entries. It is not the state's driver file, which is separate. Confirm the right court before paying, mailing anything, or showing up, since payment methods and contest rules differ between the county seat and Marion and Gas City courts.

Traffic Case Records in Grant County

County Small Claims/Traffic answers at (765) 668-7145. Traffic cases in Grant County sit at more than one counter. Court code 27D03 goes to Superior Court 3 by local rule. That court handles misdemeanors and operating-while-intoxicated cases along with its traffic work. City citations carry code 27H01 in Gas City and 27H02 in Marion.

Marion City Court sits at 301 S. Branson Street and answers at (765) 668-4425. Gas City Court sits at 211 E. Main Street and answers at (765) 677-3081. Jonesboro is incorporated. But the official directory and the local-rule map list no Jonesboro municipal court. For a Jonesboro ticket, use the court named on the citation. Confirm the route with that clerk.

The Grant Superior Court 3 source helps county traffic and Small Claims readers. It connects them with the proper local court information.

For routing a citation, the court code and issuing agency on the ticket tell you more than the city where the stop happened. Trust those two fields first.

Grant County Traffic Court Routes

Search the court on the citation, not a broad name query. The paper ticket gives you the response date plus the payment or appearance instruction. Indiana MyCase can search by citation number, case number, or cross-reference. Filters cover county, court, category, status, and filing date. Exact identifiers cut the unrelated results out.

Treat a search result as an index. The issuing court or Grant County Clerk holds the official disposition and the current balance.

Grant County Traffic Ticket Lookups

Indiana MyCase has a dedicated citation-number field. A case number or cross-reference works too. Its filters separate Grant County's Circuit and Superior courts from Grant/Gas City City Court and Grant/Marion City Court. Save the broad name search for last, since common names pull in unrelated cases.

  1. Read the citation's court, citation or cause number, date, and response instruction.
  2. Search MyCase with the exact citation number, then try the case number or cross-reference.
  3. Select the named Grant County or city court and narrow the category, status, or date if needed.
  4. Check Trial Court Calendars only if the case belongs to a participating county court.
  5. Call county Traffic/Small Claims, Marion, or Gas City when the citation is missing, unreadable, or not posted.
  6. Visit or write to the named custodian for a plain or certified court record.

Confirm mail and payment procedures before any money leaves your hand. The Grant County Clerk's general line is (765) 668-8121, and each city court sets its own traffic docket and instructions.

MyCase Grant Citation Fields

In the MyCase case-search area you will find Case Number, Citation Number, and Cross Reference fields. The name route takes last, first, and middle names, date of birth, business name, and a sounds-like control. Filters cover the specific court, the Criminal & Citation category, open or closed status, and a filing-date range.

A citation can take time to reach the case system. An empty result does not cancel the date printed on the ticket. Call the court instead of waiting past it.

Traffic Court Dates in Grant County

The printed court or response date on the ticket is your primary local source. MyCase may later show a setting in the CCS. Indiana Trial Court Calendars covers less ground here. Its Grant County list includes Circuit, Superior 2, and Superior 3. It leaves out Superior 1, Marion City Court, and Gas City Court. So a blank calendar result proves nothing about a setting.

Citation numberThe exact paper-ticket identifier used in MyCase.
Case numberThe Indiana court identifier, filing period, type, and sequence, such as a cause beginning 27H01.
CourtThe county, Marion, or Gas City court that controls the case.
Date and timeThe scheduled appearance or hearing; confirm changes with the court.
SettingA hearing label, not necessarily a trial or final date.
StatusOpen, closed, or another portal label that must be read with the CCS.

A reset or continuance just moves a setting. It does not dismiss the citation. If the paper date and the portal disagree, call the named Grant County court before trusting either one.

Grant County ePay Limits

Indiana public ePay is a statewide shell for eligible cases. That word eligible carries the weight. The state page does not tell you whether a given Grant County citation qualifies. It does not say what citation format it wants. It does not state the processing fee either. A page that loads is not a promise of payment. The issuing court must confirm eligibility and state the current total.

The Indiana public ePay source displays the payment shell and its official-record warning.

Online payment is one channel among several. The ticket, the phone line, the court counter, and mail instructions all remain vital fallbacks.

Paying a Ticket vs Fighting It

Paying and fighting a ticket lead to different court events. Marion's official page accepts cash or money order. It handles misdemeanors, infractions, and ordinances. Call (765) 668-4425 for the current amount, address, and setting. Gas City takes money order only. No cash, no cards, full payment by the court date, and no payment plan. Call (765) 677-3081 before mailing.

Late payment can have serious results: Gas City's court page warns that nonpayment can lead to collection and license suspension. Contact the named court at once after a missed date or deadline.

Gas City sends deferral questions to the Grant County Prosecutor at (765) 664-0739. Grant also links an AccessGov infraction-deferral form, though its fields, eligibility terms, fee, deadline, and upload controls call for direct confirmation. Ask about each point before you rely on the form.

Grant County Ticket Date Gaps

A smudged date on a Grant County ticket calls for patience. Start with the paper itself. Pull every legible court and cause detail off the citation. Run a MyCase search by citation number. Run it again by case number. Pick the city court on its own where the system splits them.

Trial Court Calendars helps only for courts on its participating list. Call the direct court line to confirm. The county keeps separate city dockets, and its published calendar list is short. A fresh ticket can lag before it posts. Juvenile or excluded records show less. A city matter may sit off the county calendar even though its local date stands. The court itself settles the question.

Two Records: Court and Driver Files

Two files exist here, and different offices hold them. The Grant County court record covers the citation case itself: charge or infraction, court, case and citation numbers, settings, pleas, filings, disposition, payment or collection entries, and public orders. The driver file is separate. The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles keeps that one.

The Indiana BMV driver-record source spells out both options: a free Viewable Driver Record and a $4 certified Official Driver Record.

Neither paper substitutes for the other. A MyCase printout is not a certified BMV record, and a BMV record will not stand in for the issuing court's certified disposition.

Grant County Electronic Citations

Indiana issues tickets electronically through its Citation and Warning System, called eCWS. It feeds the state's court technology. Yet it flattens nothing local and promises no instant posting. Once a matter reaches Odyssey, MyCase serves as the public case-summary layer.

With a brand-new Grant County ticket, the paper still gives the first court. It also shows the date. Nothing online yet? Call the court named on the citation. That habit keeps a transmission or posting delay from looking like a dismissed case.

Grant County City Ticket Rules

Marion and Gas City each run their own traffic dockets, with different payment rules. Marion takes cash or money order and gives a court line for the current amount. Gas City accepts money order only. It demands full payment by the court date. It offers no payment plan.

So read the court name on the ticket first. Then confirm terms with that office before any payment goes in the mail. County-issued matters belong on the county Traffic/Small Claims line. MyCase codes 27H01 and 27H02 separate the two city records.

Traffic Record Copy Fees

Grant County publishes no official traffic fine schedule, court-cost total, dismissal fee, or deferral fee. The named court sets those sums. The county Clerk's published schedule covers copy fees for court records, not what you owe on a citation.

Ordering by mail? Ask first about page count, certification, postage, accepted payment form, and return method. City traffic records sit with that city court, so do not assume the Grant County Clerk holds the paper.
