Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Grant County Court Docket. By using the site, a visitor accepts these conditions and acknowledges that official Indiana court information must be verified with the Grant County Clerk of Courts, the assigned trial court, or the city court that keeps the original record.

NO FCRA USE. Grant County Court Docket is private and unaffiliated with any government agency or court. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a consumer report for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

1. What This Website Is

Grant County Court Docket is an independent reference site. It does not maintain Indiana's official dockets, operate MyCase, schedule hearings, accept filings, or issue certified court records. Its role is to direct readers to the Grant County Clerk, the county trial courts, Marion and Gas City courts, and relevant statewide resources.

2. Informational Use Only

All material is general information. It is not an official docket, court order, complete case file, or substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer. Any fact that affects a filing, payment, appearance, deadline, or legal right must be confirmed with the office that maintains the case.

3. Rules for Using This Site

A visitor agrees not to:

  • violate federal, Indiana, or local law
  • harass, stalk, threaten, or harm another person
  • use site content for a decision regulated by the FCRA
  • gain or attempt to gain unauthorized system access
  • run bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools
  • interfere with site security, speed, or availability

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Grant County Court Docket does not create a background check, credit report, or consumer report and is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Site content and results from linked tools must not be used to:

  • make employment decisions
  • evaluate a rental or housing application
  • decide credit eligibility or terms
  • set insurance eligibility or terms
  • determine eligibility for a license or government benefit
  • perform any other FCRA-regulated assessment

A lawful consumer-reporting need requires an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing published here creates an attorney-client relationship or gives legal advice. Questions about how an Indiana rule, Grant County order, charge, filing, or deadline applies to a person should be taken to a licensed Indiana attorney.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

The site and its content are provided “as is.” No warranty is made that:

  • information is complete, accurate, or current
  • access will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • pages will be free from security defects
  • an outside search result will identify the correct case

Court records change as filings, settings, continuances, dispositions, amendments, restrictions, and seals are entered. MyCase is a public index rather than the certified record. Verify a Grant County date or docket entry with the assigned court or clerk before acting.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to Indiana court systems, Grant County offices, city courts, legal organizations, and commercial search providers. Those services control their own content, prices, terms, availability, and data practices. Grant County Court Docket is not responsible for an outside service merely because it is linked.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the site's original text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Grant County Court Docket or its licensors. They may not be copied, modified, republished, or distributed without permission except as applicable law allows.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site, inability to use it, reliance on its content, or interaction with a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the operator harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable costs arising from that visitor's misuse of the site or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Indiana law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Indiana. Public access to agency records is addressed by the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, Indiana Code section 5-14-3, while access to Indiana court records is governed by the Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records. Those laws do not make this private site a public agency or official custodian.

12. Changes to These Terms

The terms may be revised when operations or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted unless the page states a later date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you look up a case or docket for me?

No. Visitors may use Docket Search or contact the custodian, but the private site cannot enter the court's internal system or provide an official lookup.

Can you change or confirm my court date?

No. Only the assigned court can set, move, or confirm a hearing. Check the Court Schedule and verify the date directly.

Is a docket entry on a linked tool official?

No. A linked result can be incomplete or stale. The official record comes from the Grant County Clerk or the city court that maintains the case.

Where do I ask a question about these terms?
